Sinopsis
In 2023, Germany returned two kággaba/kogi masks to the "Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta" after more than 100 years. A Kogi testimony given from the heights of the ¨Sierra Nevada¨ reveals how the appropriation of the masks happened and its consequences. Since then and for the first time, Kogi dances, masks and attires are witnessed by a new generation, demonstrating that their original rituals have not been forgotten. Regardless of colonial transgressions, the Kogis have maintained their integrity and their deep knowledge of nature. They clearly understand with humility, that humans are not and will never be the owners of the world.
